Check in to the Amata Cruise at Zayzate Jetty in Bamaw around 3 pm. We will visit Tein Daw Gyi Stupa, Bamboo Bridge about half-mile long and local market by car in Bamaw. Amata stays overnight at sandbank near Bamaw.

Amata Cruise starts cruising after breakfast on downriver to Shwegu. We will reach Shwegu after lunch. We will pass the second Defile of Ayarwaddy River after one and a half hour cruising. The sceneries of the second Defile are very beautiful with wild plants, Bamboo, Villages, high cliff hills, and Pagodas. Amata cruising about one and a half hours in the Defile. Then Amata will reach Shwegu after lunch and we will visit Shwe Baw Kyun Pagodas on the island on foot. The island was located in the Ayarwaddy River with 150 houses and about 2700 ruin stupas. It was one of the legendary pagodas of King Asoka. Then Amata cruise again on downriver tonight stop.

Amata starts cruising after breakfast on downriver to Katha. We will reach Katha after lunch. We will be able to see Ayarwaddy Dolphins (Orcaella ) on the way if we are lucky. We will visit Katha on foot. Katha is a picturesque town with markets, colonial buildings, and beautiful rain trees. Katha town became famous by George Orwell’s book, called Burmese Days. Amata cruise stays overnight in Katha.

Amata starts cruising before breakfast on downriver to Nwenyein. We will reach Nwenyein in the afternoon. We will pass the Third Defile of Ayarwaddy River before we reach to Nwenyein pottery village. The sceneries of Third Defile are beautiful with bamboo hills, villages and pagodas. Amata cruising about three hours in the Defile. Nwenyein is one of the famous pottery villages in the country where they produce a lot of glaze pots by hand. Amata cruise stays overnight in the middle of the river near Nwenyein.

Amata starts cruising after breakfast on downriver to Mingun. We will reach the Mingun in the afternoon. We will visit Unfinished Temple, The largest intact antique Bell of the world, Hshinbyume Stupa by foot in Mingun. Then Amata cruise again on downriver tonight stop. We will be able to see Ayarwaddy Dolphins ( Orcaella ) if we are lucky today. Amata stays overnight in the middle of the river near Mandalay.

We visit again Golden Palace Monastery, World biggest book Stupa and we will have sunset on the Mandalay Hill. Amata stays overnight in the middle of the river near Mandalay.
