Mandalay to Monywa (8 Days) - Down Stream

Amata’s Mandalay-Monywa trips will give you a clear image of the central basin and the lowland of Myanmar. Check in to the boat around 4 pm at Amata Jetty near ‘ Tanhmoekyun ‘ ferry boat Jetty.
After breakfast, we will visit U Bein Bridge, Mahargandayone, Monastery, and Mahar Myat Muni Buddha Image before lunch. We continue to visit Golden Palace Monastery, World’s biggest book Stupa and we will have sunset on the Mandalay Hill. Amata stays overnight in the middle of the river near Mandalay.
Amata Cruise starts cruising before breakfast to Mingun. We will visit Unfinished Temple, The largest intact antique Bell of the world, Hshinbyume Stupa by foot in Mingun. Then Amata cruise again on upriver to Indaung. We will be able to see Ayarwaddy Dolphins (Orcaella ) if we are lucky today. Amata will reach Indaung village in the afternoon, one of the typical villages with a meditating Monastery. Cruising again downriver after visiting Indaung. We stop overnight in the middle of the river.
Moring starts cruising on downriver to Sagaing. We will visit Guitar making workshop, U Min Tonesae and Soon Oo Ponnyashin Pagodas by a car in Sagaing. Then come back to Amata and cruising to Ava. Then We will visit Mae Nu Oak Kyaung, Watch Tower, Yandanar Simee Stupa and Bagayar wooden Monaestary after lunch by a horse-carte in Ava. Then Amata cruise again on downriver for the night.
Amata Cruise starts cruising on downriver to Yandabo at 8 am. We will visit Yandabo after lunch. Yandabo is one of the historical villages of Myanmar where England and Burma were signed for the treaty in 1826. Now a day Yandabo was famous by handmade clay pots. Then we cruise again on downriver to Chindwin confluence and stay overnight at a sandbank.
Amata cruise starts cruising on Chindwin River to Ma U. We will visit old stupas, wooden long bridge. Handmade bamboo products by a local car about two hours before lunch then come back to Amata and cruise again on upriver to Monywa. Amata stays overnight at the middle of the river near Monywa.
After breakfast, we will visit Monywar by car. Monywa is the capital of the Sagaing division. One of the biggest trading towns between Mandalay and the upriver of the Chindwin River area. Mostly they have used speed boats for transports. We will visit the Market, Standing Buddha Image, Bodi Tataung Pagodas, and Thanboddhay Temple before lunch. Then we will have lunch in the local restaurant of the town. Then we continue to Phoewin Taung with the same car. A lot of sandstone Buddha Images and Monkeys can be see there. Then we will comes back to Amata in Monywar jetty and stay overnight in the middle of the river near Monywa.
