Loikaw is one of the places you should visit if you are really interested in the Kayan – Long Neck Women and their true lifestyle. Loikaw is the capital of the Kayah state and sleepy charming town which is full of beautiful natural scenery. Taung Kwe Zeti, which is the famous landmark of Loikaw and another remarkable place is Demoso market which opens only on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Around loikaw, we have Kayan villages and Kayaw villages. Among them, we will show the genuine Kayan villages such as Panpet and Hta Nee La Lah to explore the culture, traditions, and to learn the belief of Kayah people. The local people will be very happy to meet you and invite you to participate in their weaving process and happy to teach you the techniques of weaving style of Kayah.
When you arrive at Kayah state, don’t forget to taste the Kayah barbecue which is one of the fantastic ingredients that make Kayah is perfect. Pro Niti Travel is very eager to assist you in the exploration of Loikaw and around.
Day 1 : Yangon-Loikaw Panpet Village
Fly to Loikaw from Yangon. On arrival, welcome by our guide at the airport and transfer to hotel. We will drive to Pan Pet village and enjoy your scenic view of Ngwe Taung reservoir which is located in Demoso and visits their authentic market at Demoso. Then, our adventure starts with short trek about 2 hours with our local guide and enjoy your special jungle picnic. We are going to see and learn how to make traditional Kayah bracelets and interact with Padaung women, the unique lifestyle of long-necked women. We will come back to Loikaw and visit Haw Gyi ( Nan Monastery ) and enjoy the sunset at Taung Kwe Zedi. We will enjoy Kayah traditional foods and drink. Transfer back to the hotel.
Day 2 : Hta Nee La Lah village
After breakfast at the hotel, welcome at the hotel and start driving to Kayah Museum to explore the culture, traditions, and belief of Kayah people by listening to interesting stories by our guide. We will proceed weaving center and enjoy the beauty of nature at the organic garden and then learn the techniques of weaving style of Kayah. We will proceed to Hta Nee La Lah village and explore the culture and authentic way of lives and enjoy the beauty of nature around. We will bring you to Kaytoebo Hall and hunting shrines, lotus pond to learn more about local beliefs and spiritual life. Our adventure starts again to try local Ox-cart to visit 7 Lakes side and taste the Kayah barbecue which is one of the fantastic ingredients that make Kayah is perfect for exploring. We will enjoy the sunset at Mya Ka Lab Pagoda and Shwe Lat War Pagoda and dinner at the local restaurant and transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3 : Ra A pra and Hte Kho village
After breakfast at the hotel, pick up and start driving to Hte Kho and Ra A Pra village. On the way, enjoy the unparalleled panoramas of Kayah State and then you will explore the fascination people and their culture and unique living style and enjoy their local food for lunch and back to Loikaw and relax at the hotel.
Day 4 : Loikaw – Phe Khone – Inle Lake
After relaxing sleep and wake up and have breakfast, pick you up at the hotel and start driving to Phe Khone which is the gateway to Inle Lake and on the way, you will enjoy the scenic view of Shan Mountain Range and Inle Lake. On arrival, Phe Khone, we will pick up by boat and drive into Inle Lake. On the way, visit ancient Sankar Pagoda and the arrival at the hotel. Relax!
