Nationally famous for its Manaw Festival, aside from it, the town itself doesn’t have much to offer to the travelers, however it serves as a starting point for trips to surrounding tribal villages and other sights – that is, Indawgyi Lake, Myanmar’s largest body of water and Myit Sone – the junction to which both May Kha and Malikha comes together to start the mighty Irrawaddy River.

During the winter, nights are filled with Christmas carols all the over town.
