Itinerary

In this one of our best trekking tours, Visiting countryside and rural areas will be the highlight of this tour as you will definitely enjoy the authentic experiences about the culture, traditions, and daily life of the ethnic tribes. The most interesting part would be digging the histories of magical ancient caves, historical and iconic landmarks.

Day 1 : Arrival in Hanoi and city exploration

On arrival, our friendly guide will pick you up and transfer to the hotel. Hanoi – the fabulous blending capital of long-standing culture and modern beating life. Relax at the hotel for your leisure and refreshment. In the afternoon, the city excursion begins by visiting the Ethnology museum, then proceeding to the West Lake and the oldest pagoda called Tran Quoc. Continue exploration to Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters. Evening visits the French Quarter (Old Quarter Ha Noi), afterward Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and Ma May ancient house. After dinner, transfer to the hotel and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will take you to explore the enjoyable journey through North-eastern Vietnam for your memorable cultural discovery tour. Firstly, we will drive to the national park to feel the beautiful views with a fresh breeze. On the way, we will make a stop at Tay Village, where you will experience the traditions of local people and the lush rice fields. On arrival to Ba Be National Park, you will enjoy boat riding along the Nang River until you reach Puong Grotto, where you can wander about the amazing stalagmites and stalactites found inside. Afterward, proceed along the waterway until you arrive at Ban Can Village, where you will learn the traditions of Tay ethnic minority people living on the river bank. Explore for a stroll through the village before the boat ride to take you on Ba Be Lake and you will take some photos for a treasured memory. Afterward, here you will get the great chance to visit Widow Island (named for the nearby legend in regards to the lake)  and you can enjoy swimming in the perfectly clear crystal waters. Continue to Coc Toc Village, possessed by the Tay ethnic minority. Evening, return to the hotel and overnight in Ba Be Lake.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Hua Ma, a dry cave with thousands of amazing stalactites. 

Afterward, we will head to enjoy the beautiful landscape around Ba Be Lake. After passing through the rainforest from Ba Be, we will have a lunch break at a local restaurant in Cho Ra Town. After lunch, proceed to Quang Uyen, the district inhabited primarily by Nung ethnic minority communities. Because of their isolation and the remote nature of the area, their centuries-old traditions and culture remain recognizably distinct from other minorities in Vietnam. Each village is specialized in the making of useful tools for daily life such as blacksmith, paper-making, and incense essentially. This remoteness and traditional simplicity are the majority makes Quang Uyen so engaging, and you will have the great opportunity to witness this first-hand. Overnight at homestay in Quang Uyen.

Today we will visit Ban Gios Waterfall, one of the most magnificent natural wonders in Northern Vietnam. This would be the highlight of the tour as this stunning 300-meter wide waterfall located significantly on the border between China and Vietnam, in the midst of a spectacular mountainous scene. You will love the most unforgettable memory by relaxing under the natural beauty and take a bamboo boat to be closer to the falls which are sitting on the very edge of Vietnam and so close to China. Continue to the magical Nguom Ngao Cave, where we can discover the rock formations which have been carved by erosion over thousands of years. Proceed to the local market where the people from nearby regions come to sell the local products so you can explore the lively nature of local communities. Evening we will then hike to Phat Tich Temple for incredible insight for the better view of Ban Gioc Waterfall with the great background of China. You will return to Cao Bang and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a chance to climb the hill up to the War Memorial to witness the amazing panoramic view of the town and surrounding countryside. Afterward, you will depart from Cao Bang, and along the way, you will pass by the winding streets through lovely valleys flanked by steep mountains and breathtaking vistas. Arrive at Lang Son, which is the capital of the region and a significant intersection and shipping lane to close by Non-Nuoc. The village and surrounding area are extremely varied, being home to Dzao, Man, Tho, and Nung people. You will visit the old market and the Dong Kinh market, the highlights of the town where you can find anything from traditional crafts to modern products. If time permits, you will continue the exploration of the beautiful caves amongst the ruins of the Mac Dynasty Citadel. You will visit Tham Thang containing a small lake with the amazing views of encompassing farmland, proceed to Nhi Thanh formed by a river flowing through it, and featuring poems inscribed on the wall dating back to the 18th century. Afterward, you will return to Ha Noi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Ha Noi.

Today, you will enjoy a full-day excursion to Ha Long Bay to discover the world’s natural wonder. After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Ha Long City through the Red River Delta. (Est 3.5 hours) On arrival in Ha Long Bay in the afternoon, begin the cruising excursion on the stunning bay. Enjoy the seafood lunch on the cruise. You can witness the great photo scene along the bay with the most magnificent natural splendors, limestone bedrock, and sheer cliffs of tiny islands highlighted with fanciful names: Fighting Cocks (symbol of Ha Long Bay), Duck, Swan, Incense Burner, and Stone Dogs. You will visit Thien Cung (Heaven Palace Grotto) to explore enormous chambers decorated with stalactites and stalagmites of numerous types. Afterward, enjoy the cruising back to Ha Long harbor. On arrival, transfer to Hanoi and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, free morning for your leisure at the hotel. Afterwards, transfer you to the airport for your international departure flight.
