7 Day - Marvelous Cambodia Tour

Today, we will enjoy the full-day excursion in Phnom Penh. Firstly, we will explore Royal Palace, which was built by King Narodom in 1866 on the site of the old town and we will visit the Silver Pagoda, which is the most sacred temple in the country. Afterward, we will explore Central Market which is a large market supervised by a French architect. In the afternoon, we will explore Killing Field which is the site of a former orchard and mass grave of victims of the Khmer Rouge – killed between 1975 and 1979 – about 17Km south of Phnom Penh. It is the best-known of the sites known as The Killing Fields, where the Khmer Rouge regime executed over one million people between 1975 and 1979. And then, we will continue excursion to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum which is a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. Toul Sleng means “Hill of the Poisonous Trees”. Then, we will return back to the hotel and overnight. 

After breakfast, our adventure begins with the visit of Oudong Mountain and it is approx. 40 km drive from Phnom Penh city.  Oudong was a Royal residence and the capital city of Cambodia before Phnom Penh and now it’s famous as a mountain resort for tourists and local people during weekends and holidays. A monumental royal necropolis of sovereigns of several centuries is scattered on top of the prominent bisected Oudong Mountain. There are around 500 steps up to the mountain so be ready. We will enjoy the breathtaking view from the top then try varieties of delicious local food at the foothill.  In the afternoon, we will visit the peaceful and very charming Vipassana Dhura Buddhist Meditation Center at the foothill. In the evening, we will enjoy a 1h sunset boat tour at 4 junctions river. We will see the Phnom Penh skyline from a different perspective and we will enjoy the spectacular view of Phnom Penh city at night with fresh air. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight in the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Siem Reap, the home of the magnificent ancient temples. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the time will be leisure time and overnight at Siem Reap. 

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide picks up to explore “Angkor Wat” which is the 7th Wonders’ of the World and the world’s largest temple with an excellent masterpiece of carvings, sculptures, and perfect structure. It is also one of the largest religious monuments in the world.  In the afternoon, we will explore Angkor Thom City Complex which includes: Bayon Temple (giant Buddhist face temple) is the second main temple of Cambodia after Angkor Wat. Bayon has become one of the most recognizable images connected to classic Khmer art and architecture.  Next, we will explore Ta Prom Temple, another fabulous temple covered by dense tropical forest. Its state of ruin is a state of beauty, which is investigated with delight and left with regret. Ta Prohm is also a place where the famous Hollywood movie Tomb Raider Movie starring Angelina Jolie was filmed. The last one enjoys watching a nice sunset (base on nice weather) at Pre Rub Temple. Then, we will return to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will meet you at the hotel and drive to the Kulen Mountain (known as the mountain of the lychees) and it is located 58kms from Siem Reap town to the north of the province. Kulen Mountain is considered a holy mountain in Cambodia, of special religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists who come to the mountain in pilgrimage. It also has major symbolic importance for Cambodians as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire. We will also visit the most remarkable sacred 1000 Lingas river which is the symbol of Hindu god Shiva and visit Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its giant reclining Buddha. After that, we will continue to visit the waterfall. There are 2 main waterfalls on Kulen Mountain and the size of the waterfalls varies according to the seasons and the rain. Then we will enjoy and then take the nice photos of Nicest Waterfall in Cambodia.  In the afternoon, we will return back to Siem Reap town and on the way, we will visit local village names Banteay Srey Village to see villagers make natural palm sugar and other daily usage products. In the evening, we will join to see the Phare Performance by Cambodian young artists. Phare is one of Cambodia’s most innovative social enterprise models.
