Itinerary
Discover 9 days in the land of glittering pagodas to experience the diverse ethnic groups’ culture and traditions. This will be a great experience to those interested in the local way of life of Myanmar’s many ethnic groups. Ancient city ruins will definitely be a part of this memorable trip.
Your Myanmar Classic Adventure tour will start with exploring the Burmese and colonial architecture in downtown Yangon, including the splendid Shwedagon Pagoda. We then move to the historic town of Bagan to enjoy the archaeological sites with hundreds of temples and pagodas.
We will also visit the centre of Burmese culture in Mandalay, the capital of the last Myanmar Dynasty. Observe artists at a traditional arts and crafts workshop, and enjoy an amazing sunset at the world’s longest teakwood bridge (U Bein) and also from the hill of Mandalay.
Next is Shan State for boating on Inle Lake and cycling around the interesting town of Nyaung Shwe. We will even do some wine tasting at a local winery.
Day 1 : Yangon arrival and city exploring
Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will provide transfer to your hotel for check-in and some relaxation. Our first stop is the Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, where you can marvel at one of the largest reclining Buddhas in Myanmar, spanning an impressive 66 meters. We will then proceed to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, where you will be awestruck by the array of intricate temples, shrines, and pavilions that surround it. Our day concludes with a return to the hotel for a well-deserved break.
Day 2 : Fly to Mandalay, Amarapura and Innwa excursion

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a to Mandalay. Upon arrival, we will proceed to Ava (Innwa) and visit its top attractions. Our first stop will be the 27-meter-high Masonry Watch Tower, followed by the Bagaya Monastery which is famous for its 276 teak pillars. Then, we will visit the Nan Myint, also known as the ”Leaning Tower of Innwa“. Next, we will drive to Mae Nu stucco monastery which was built in 1822AD. In the evening, we will head to Amarapura to enjoy the stunning sunset at U Bein Bridge, which was built over 200 years ago by then Mayor U Bein and is made of teak logs and planks. Finally, we will drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Mandalay.
Day 3 : Mingun-Mandalay exploration

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed with the sightseeing tour of Mingun by boat, located just 12 km upstream from Mandalay on the west bank of the Irrawaddy River. We will visit the impressive landmarks of the area including the working model for a gigantic structure, Pon Daw Phaya, the vaulted shrine with a Buddha’s footprint, Set Taw Ya Phaya, and the world’s largest chide built by Bodaw Phaya, Mingun Pa Hto Taw Phaya. We will also see the world’s largest ringing bell, Mingun Bell, weighing 90 tons and Hsin Byu Me Phaya, a representation of the Sula Mani Phaya which stands atop Mt. Meru. Later, we will head back to Mandalay and visit the Ku Tho Daw Pagoda, which is known as the world’s biggest book. We will then proceed to Mandalay Hill to enjoy the panoramic sunset view of Mandalay. Finally, we will be transferred to our hotel and spend the night in Mandalay.
Day 4 : Drive to Bagan (about 4 hours), and Bagan exploration

After breakfast at the hotel at 8 am, we will embark on a 4-hour drive to Bagan in a private car. Upon arrival, we will have lunch at a restaurant and then check-in to our hotel to freshen up. In the afternoon, we will start our sightseeing tour with a visit to the magnificent Shwezigon Pagoda, a golden stupa that provides an introduction to Bagan’s rich history. Next, we will visit the stunning Ananda Temple, one of the most beautiful temples in Bagan, known for its exceptional architecture. After that, we will head to Thatbyinnyu, the tallest temple in Bagan, and then to the massive Dhammayangyi Temple, which is famous for its remarkable brickwork. We will end the day by enjoying an unforgettable sunset over the Nyaung La Phet Hill. Finally, we will return to our hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 : Continue Bagan excursion , Sunset Boat

Today’s itinerary will take us to the charming rural village of Minnanthu, where we will witness the cotton weaving process and observe the locals harvesting crops in their fields. Following this, we will explore Bagan’s renowned temples, including the Laymyathnar Monastery Complex, Phayathonsu, and Nandamannya. Nandamannya boasts impressive 13th-century mural paintings that are sure to captivate your attention. We will enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants before heading back to the hotel for a few hours of relaxation and swimming. In the late afternoon, we will continue our adventure with a visit to the Manuha temple, which houses immense Buddha images, and the Nanpaya temple built from sandstone. We will also visit the colorful GubyaukGyi temple (Myinkaba) to witness the vibrant mural paintings from the Bagan period. In the evening, we will journey to the jetty to catch a slow cruise down the Irrawaddy River by boat, where we can witness the lifestyles of fishermen and riverside villagers while enjoying a unique perspective of Bagan’s temples during sunset. We will return to the hotel for overnight rest after this mesmerizing experience.
Day 6 : Drive to Nyaung Shwe (about 6.5 hours), Visit Red Mountain Winery

After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a scenic 6-7 hour drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and proceed to visit the picturesque Red Mountain Winery. We will stroll through the serene rural scenery of bamboo and banana plants before signing up for a wine tasting session. The winery is beautifully situated between the red hills, and the ascent to the winery is steep but well worth it for the stunning views of Nyaung Shwe and Inle Lake. We will soak in the wonderful ambiance before returning to our hotel.
Day 7 : Inle Lake – Indein excursion by boat

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the jetty to start our Inle Lake sightseeing tour. Our first stops will include the Floating Islands, Heya Ywama Village, Phaung Daw Oo Phaya, and observing the unique leg-rowers and their traditional fishing techniques. We will also visit local artisans such as Silver Smiths and weavers, as well as learn about the culture and lifestyle of the Long-necked Padaung women. For lunch, we will enjoy Inthar-style meals at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Indein village and capture the breathtaking views of the lake on our way. In Indein, we will visit the ancient ShweIndein pagoda and explore the surrounding villages. Finally, we will return to our hotel.
Day 8 : Fly back to Yangon and Yangon city exploration

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, our driver will transport us to Heho airport to catch a flight back to Yangon.On arrival at Yangon, start sightseeing including KyautDawGyi Pagoda which is one of the famous pagodas in Yangon and is located nearby Yangon airport. One of the attractions of this pagoda is decorated by the biggest White Marble Image. After lunch go to Bogyoke Aung San Market where there are 2,000 sprawling shops for clothes, gemstones and jewelry, Myanmar traditional arts & crafts and souvenirs. It is amazingly complicated. Then go for a walk around Kandawgyi Park and take pictures of Karaweik Hall. After that we will drive back and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 : Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Yangon International Airport for your flight back to home sweet home. Have a safe flight.
