Takeo Province has been called the cradle of Cambodian civilization, as it was home to significant sites long before the Angkor Empire built its famous temples. Despite this, the region remains largely unknown to those outside Cambodia – so visiting is an exciting prospect for intrepid adventurers. Those who do visit are sure to be dazzled by the beautiful temples, as well as the network of manmade canals and waterways that snake through the countryside. It’s certainly one of Cambodia’s most unique destinations.
