Nationally famous for its Manaw Festival, aside from it, the town itself does not have much to offer to the travelers, however it serves as a starting point for trips to surrounding tribal villages and other sights that are, Indawgyi Lake, Myanma’s largest body of water and Myit Sone, the junction to which both May Kha and Malikha comes together to start the mighty Irrawaddy River.

During the winter, nights are filled with Christmas carols all the over town.
